Thanks for reading, and I appreciate the feedback. I hope the post gets at least a few wrestling fans that only have watched WWE and AEW to seek out an independent wrestling show to see if they like it.
I would consider the NWA “territories” as independents. I tend to categorize independent promotions as local operations that do not tape shows to air on any streaming app, local promotions that do tape their shows and they are available somewhere online or promotions that are localized in where they run events, but they have name recognition on the independent scene on some level in a national sense. OVW by that definition would be classified as an independent promotion but I think of them more on the tier around NWA when looking at different levels of pro wrestling promotions in the U.S.
Have you ever watched OVW, and if so, what did you think of it? Same question for any of the NWA “territories”.
Great article! I love the "Why I Like or Love ____" type of posts and this one is a gem. Good job, my friend

Question for you…do you consider these NWA “Territories” as independents? Or OVW in Kentucky?

Thank you that helps me understand much clearer. I haven’t kept up much with the independent scene and you are helping me and my perspective
